everyday fun
Here are some iPhone pics from our everyday fun adventures:
Janssen sitting so big on the stool.
Zoo day fun with sweet friends! Petting a turtle and playing in the splash pad.
Playing with his new car track with Daddy.
Playing in the pool at the Y.
VBS.
Yummy donuts!
Corn muffin pancakes! One of mommy’s favorites!
Car show.
Arcadia lake fun! Janssen is fearless in the water. He crawls right in head first.

Dental X-rays. Miller did such a great job letting the hygienist clean his teeth and the dentist check his teeth. He was so excited about getting a new tooth brush! Such a big boy! Janssen also had his first dentist appointment. He wasn’t thrilled about letting the dentist look at his teeth but he didn’t cry!
swim lessons
July 8
Miller had his first swim lesson of the summer. He was excited until he found out that I wasn’t going in the water with him. Then he started crying and saying he didn’t want to go. When I asked him what he was afraid of he said, “I will sink”. I assured him that his teacher would be with him and he would be in the shallow end where he could touch. I think he was still a little nervous at first but warmed up right away. He spent the entire 30 minute lesson talking to the instructor in typical Miller fashion. Haha!
let it go!

Miller and I had a special date to watch Frozen at the Myriad Gardens while Daddy stayed home to put Janssen to bed. Miller absolutely loved it! He sang along to the songs and has even memorized lines in the movie! When the movie started he said “Woo hoo!” and everyone around us laughed. He did say he was tired and ready to go home towards the end of the movie but I still think he had a great time! And I love getting to spend time alone with him!
picking peaches
July 10
I thought it would be really fun to take Miller to pick peaches since he loved picking blueberries so much! I found a local peach orchard called Wind Drift Orchards in Harrah.
Picking peaches turned out to be a little more difficult than picking blueberries. At first, Miller was picking the peaches that were still very hard. I told him to find peaches that were softer. So, he started grabbing peaches and squeezing them as hard as he could putting thumb prints in them and declaring them soft!
Some friends met us to pick peaches.
Miller and Riley. Judah didn’t want to take a picture. 🙂
Despite our difficulty learning how to find the ripe peaches, we still managed to pick a box full, about 14 lbs. Plenty of peaches to make a yummy peach pie!
Such a fun outing at a beautiful orchard!
singing in church
July 13
This is one of the songs that the kids learned at VBS. I purchased a CD with all of the songs from VBS this year and Miller loves to listen to it in the car. It was so fun to watch all the kids singing to the Lord! I just love how serious Miller is! Praising God is serious business! (Miller is looking at a screen below the stage that was playing the music video.)

going to the dentist
December 17
On Tuesday, I took Miller to the dentist to have his teeth cleaned. This was only his second trip to the dentist for a cleaning. I cannot believe how much he has changed since his last trip to the dentist last summer. He climbed right into the chair, put on his sunglasses, said ahh, and talked to the hygienist. He didn’t cry or cling to me. Even the hygienist said he was a “little man” in a little boy’s body. And he was so excited to get a new toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss. His teeth looked great, no cavities! But, the dentist did say we have to get rid of the pacifier.
Such a big boy!
Showing me his clean teeth.
Next time Janssen will also have a check up.
salt dough ornaments
December 15
On Sunday, we made our annual salt dough hand print ornaments. I love having these hanging on my Christmas tree. Each of the boys also made an ornament for my mom.
christmas lights
December 15
On Sunday, we took the boys to look at Christmas lights. We went to Chickasha to the Festival of Lights which was not as amazing as
I expected but still a fun family outing. Of course, Janssen could have cared less and was a little tired of being in his car seat after the hour drive to Chickasha. And I think Miller was more interested in the ice cream we promised him than in the actual Christmas lights. Here they are all dressed in their Christmas jammies and in their car seats ready to go.
