I can’t believe my baby will be 2 in just three short months! Here are some of his accomplishments over the past three months:

-Spinning
-Stomping
-Fastening and unfastening buckle on highchair
-Likes listening to “Shake Your Wiggles Out”
-Singing (he LOVES to sing-Chugginton theme song, “Are You Sleeping”, Old McDonald”)
-Saying “no” and shaking head “no” (even if he means “yes”)
-Pulling arm/clothing to get you to follow him
-Parroting everything
-Stringing two words together- bye bye mama (Apr 21- 20 1/2 mo)
-Wearing other peoples shoes (he LOVES wearing our shoes)
-Trying to put on his own shoes
-Opening and closing doors
-Wiping mouth and hands with napkin

Words he can say:

-Pa (pacifier)
-Shhh (makes gesture, puts finger to his lips-however, I’m not sure he grasps the meaning)
-Beep, beep
-Jump
-BAnana (used to just be nana)
-Again
-Cookie (likes to find diaper with cookie monster)
-Car
-Light
-Bread
-Baby (and points to himself-likes to go around the room, pointing to everyone and saying their name-mama, dada, baby)
-Miller (Apr. 21-20 1/2 mo)
-Wee wee wee wee (at the end of “This Little Piggy” rhyme)
-Gabby and Gus
-He says and understands so many words it is hard to list them all; his vocabulary is expanding daily and his speech is becoming increasingly clear

Twenty-one months old!

great wolf lodge

May 11-13

Over Mother’s Day weekend, we went to Great Wolf Lodge in Dallas with our good friends, Brad and Michelle Phillips, and their son, Sutton. Great Wolf Lodge is a giant indoor waterpark. They have an awesome kiddie area with little slides and sprayers. Miller and Sutton had such a great time together!

We went straight to the pool on Friday evening as soon as we arrived and swam for a couple of hours, but didn’t get any pictures. Miller and Sutton were up early on Saturday and ready to swim.

Miller and Sutton awake early and waiting for the water park to open.

Miller is ready to go swim.

In front of the giant fireplace.

Stopping to color.

Kiddie pool.

Heading to the kiddie pool.

Going down the slide.

He wasn’t a big fan.

Maybe if Sutton goes down the slide, Miller will go down too.

Nope. He decided against the slide.

He liked the jet skis better.

Squirting water at Daddy.

Wading in the water.

Stopping to smile for Mommy.

Going to play in the fort.

He loved to stand under the little bucket that would spray water when you pulled the cord. He pulled the cord over and over, causing water to fall on his head. Silly boy!

On the submarine.

Miller and Mommy.

We spent all day swimming on Saturday, stopping just long enough to eat lunch and take a nap. It was a long, fun day! After changing our clothes, we headed to the lobby for storytime before heading to dinner.

Miller wasn’t very interested in storytime, but he did like coloring.

Watching from the second floor.

On Daddy’s shoulders.

Ready to eat.

Before dinner. In front of their signature slide, the Howlin’ Tornado.

We only swam for about an hour on Sunday. We were all pretty exhausted and ready to head home.

Miller and Sutton on our last day at Great Wolf Lodge.

In the wave pool.

We had an AMAZING time and look forward to going back again soon!

My parents and sister came to Edmond the weekend after my birthday to celebrate and take me to lunch. We ate at Red Rock Canyon Grill on Lake Hefner. Yum! And we took these adorable pictures of my mom and Miller at the lake:

We had Miller’s second photoshoot for our Watch Me Grow package. It took him a little while to warm up, but once he did, he was all smiles. A toy truck and stuffed monkey helped too. Here are some of the pictures from our session:

The ice cream truck came to our apartments, music and all, so we got Miller his first from-the-truck ice cream.

miller and his books

Miller loves to read and play with his books. We keep all of his books in the cabinet under the TV and he loves to pull his books out one at a time and “read” them.

We read Miller a book every night before bed. In the video, Miller lays his head on his blanket and says “night, night”.  So cute! I guess he was ready for his bedtime story!

While Colby was videoing Miller on his iPhone, Miller spotted himself on the screen. We do lots of FaceTime with Nana and Papa and Grandma and Grandpa, so Miller is used to talking (and giving kisses) to people on the iPhone.
